Role Overview

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our professional dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. Work in a highly desirable Fee For Service office (no insurance) that has a great reputation for treating team members well and doing top quality dentistry. We are an office that cares about our patients and doing what is right for them, and are well known by our glowing reviews, patient referrals, and investment in technology. Work experience not necessary, but confidence and high level of skill is required. People-skills are mandatory. Would prefer anesthesia and N2O certification but will train/ pay for CE for the right person. Part time position available 2 days per week. Tuesday/Wednesday preferred but Thursday could be one of the two days worked. Patient schedule is made by hygienist according to patient needs, not production oriented. One hour given for most adults. Some benefits after 90 days. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and treat periodontal disease. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring comfort and safety for young patients. Utilize Eaglesoft for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment notes. Take radiographs, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote lifelong dental health. Adhere to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records responsibly. Requirements Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft preferred, but will provide training if needed. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic dental imaging procedures. Ability to review documentation accurately and assist with dental coding when necessary. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient populations.
