Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to support both the administrative and clinical operations of our dental practice. This dual-role position is ideal for a versatile professional who excels in patient care, office management, and clinical assistance, and who is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience from check-in to chairside. Responsibilities Front Office Duties Oversee daily front desk operations, including patient check-ins and check-outs, appointment scheduling, and handling patient inquiries Manage phone systems and dental practice management software Resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high patient satisfaction Implement, uphold, and monitor office policies and procedures Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Coordinate communication between front office and clinical teams to ensure smooth workflow Clinical & Dental Assisting Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and maintain dental operatories, ensuring instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed Document medical histories and treatment plans accurately Reassure patients, explain procedures, and answer questions to ensure comfort and understanding Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions or fabricating temporary crowns Maintain clinic cleanliness and follow infection control and aseptic protocols Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques Experience with dental procedures and four-handed dentistry Strong customer service and patient-focused mindset Familiarity with dental office management practices and workflows Experience with dental management software and multi-line phone systems Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Experience in pediatric dentistry and/or dental reception is a plus Why Join Us Join our team in a supportive, collaborative environment where you can grow your skills, take on leadership responsibilities, and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our patients.
