Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: Norwalk, Iowa Job Type: Full-Time About Us We are a friendly and patient-focused dental practice committed to providing high-quality care in a comfortable environment. Job Summary The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during procedures, prepares treatment rooms, ensures patient comfort, and helps maintain efficient clinical operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments Take digital x-rays, 3D imaging (CBCT) and digital scanner (Itero) Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols Record patient medical histories and update charts Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment Ensure the office and clinical areas remain clean and organized Qualifications Dental Assistant certification or relevant training preferred Radiology certification Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills for patient records and scheduling Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance Dental benefits Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan options Continuing education opportunities Supportive team environment Schedule Monday – Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Every other Friday/Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Saturday is on an as needed basis only for coverage) How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to amber@jonesfamilydentalnorwalk.com .
