Dental Assistant

Farmington Family Dentistry is looking for a dental assistant to join our amazing clinical team for 4 days a week! We are a family general dental practice that focuses on taking care of patients in a comfortable and honest way while providing top quality dentistry. Most of our patients have been coming for years and feel like family. We pride ourselves on using the latest technology and research to help care for our patients the best we can! Applicant should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want someone who is skilled in providing patient care and able to make our office procedures run as smooth as possible. Farmington Family Dentistry is a collaborative, fun environment so teamwork is a must! Our office is paperless so good knowledge of the computer is helpful for charting and walk-outs. If you join our team some of the activities filling your daily schedule are Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4 handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Keep the dental room clean and well stocked Aid hygienists in cleaning and setting up rooms Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and complete patient walk outs Requirements for applicants Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health and safety regulations Good computer skills Excellent communications and people skills Ability to work well in a team environment Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; dental assisting school graduate preferred DANB infection control and x-ray certification Patterson Eaglesoft and digital x-ray experience preferred but not required.
