Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software PracticeWorks, ensuring optimal patient flow. Verify insurance coverage and benefits through systems like Vyne, and handle insurance claims processing efficiently. Manage patient intake, including collecting medical history, updating records, and reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management. Perform insurance verification, billing, coding (including CPT, ICD-9/10), and follow up on outstanding claims to support revenue cycle management. Handle multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, process payments, and perform clerical duties such as filing and data entry with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Requirements Prior experience in a dental or medical office environment with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and dental coding, and insurance procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform collection processes, documentation review, and care plan coordination. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with dental systems is a plus. Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records management and office administration. Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation. Ability to handle sensitive health information confidentially following HIPAA guidelines. Clinic or dental office experience along with familiarity using front desk software like Practice works and Weave is preferred.
