Duties Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining patient safety and comfort Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as, Dentrix, or Epic to document treatment details accurately Monitor vital signs and medical imaging results to support comprehensive patient assessments Provide excellent dental reception services by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently Maintain medical documentation, records, and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal standards are met Support infection control practices by adhering to sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with dental procedures involving anatomy knowledge such as prosthodontics or endodontics as directed by the dentist Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and medical imaging Knowledge of EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Familiarity with medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and medical coding practices Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Embark on your next career adventure where your skills make an immediate impact!
