Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for providing the patient with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. The RDA assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures by preparing patients and handling instruments and materials. The RDA also performs many other tasks including clinical infection control procedures, maintaining, and ordering materials/supplies, cleaning and disinfecting operatories, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, taking x-rays, educating patients and other duties as allowed under the California state law under the licensing of RDA.

Qualifications:
Registered Dental Assistant I
Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant 3.

New hires: Required. Existing RDA at NEVHC: Required* Note: Business and Professions Code Section 1752.6 states in part that "A registered dental assistant licensed on and after January 1, 2010, shall provide evidence of successful completion of a board-approved course in the application of pit and fissure sealants prior to the first expiration date of his or her license that requires the completion of continuing education as a condition of renewal".
All Registered Dental Assistants must meet the following additional requirements:
Must maintain a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, in compliance with corporate CPR Policy. Computer skills in electronic dental/health record systems, and database syst
