DENTAL HYGIENIST

The City of Stamford is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and clinical oral health services for school-aged children in Stamford, CT. Compensation ranges from $41.27 to $51.19 per hour for this 42-weeks-per-year role. Under general supervision the hygienist will perform oral exams, prophylaxis, sealant placement, fluoride treatments, radiographs, charting, education, referrals, and assist in school-based clinics and community health events. The position requires graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program, a minimum of two years’ clinical experience, and a valid Connecticut dental hygiene license at the time of application. Candidates should be able to maintain infection-control standards, communicate effectively with students and families, manage records and supplies, and travel locally as needed.
