Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient care, and infection control protocols. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting general dentistry procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate and detailed dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Utilize dental terminology accurately when documenting clinical findings and patient instructions. Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques, to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current state certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental imaging, and dental terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including pediatrics.
