We are seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who will play an integral clinical role supporting advanced, same-day comprehensive dentistry. In this position you’ll help deliver high-volume treatment that includes full-mouth and half-mouth care, crown and bridge work, extractions, root canal therapy, large restorations, emergency care, and—depending on the office—implant restorations. The pace is varied and fast, with an emphasis on efficiency and keeping patients treated the same day whenever possible. Daily responsibilities include placing permanent restorations within your EFDA scope, fabricating and adjusting temporaries, coronal polishing and fluoride application, taking digital radiographs and CBCTs, and assisting during surgical, restorative, and endodontic procedures. You’ll also prepare treatment rooms and instruments, maintain sterilization and infection-control standards, document care accurately, educate patients on procedures and post-op instructions, and help maintain smooth patient flow to support same-day treatment conversions. Candidates should have EFDA experience, a current radiology license, and familiarity with restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures. Strong organization, multitasking, positive communication, and comfort in a busy, high-volume environment are essential.
