Expanded Function Dental Assistant

We are seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the dentist and operations team in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-focused care. This role involves chairside assistance, operatory setup and breakdown, instrument sterilization, and preparing patients for procedures. The EFDA may perform select restorative and hygiene-related tasks within state scope, take diagnostic radiographs and digital scans, record medical/dental histories and vitals, and provide patient education and post‑op instructions. Key responsibilities include fabricating and fitting simple orthodontic appliances, managing lab cases and supply inventories, maintaining equipment and charting in the practice management system, and helping patients navigate treatment options with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and continuing education requirements is required, along with strong teamwork, communication, and a commitment to creating exceptional patient experiences. This is an hourly, at-will position that is eligible for incentives. The role reports to the dentist and operations leader and requires adherence to company standards for patient privacy, safety, and quality care.
