Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support a busy dental practice by performing delegated clinical tasks, assisting chairside during a range of procedures, and helping maintain a safe, efficient patient experience. The role involves operating imaging equipment, using four-handed dentistry techniques, taking vitals and medical histories, and providing patient education to promote oral health. Candidates must hold an EFDA credential or equivalent, have prior dental assisting experience (general or pediatric), and be comfortable with EMR systems such as Open Dental, Dentrix, or Epic. Strong knowledge of infection control, radiation safety, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance is required, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with 3D scanners and medical coding/documentation is a plus.
