This role involves front office responsibilities including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, answering phones, texts, and emails, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying dental insurance benefits, entering information into practice software, collecting and posting payments, and reviewing treatment plans and basic financial estimates (training provided). The position also requires maintaining patient records and forms, communicating with the clinical team about room status and late patients, performing daily office tasks such as scanning and filing, and following HIPAA and office policies.
The practice prefers candidates with dental front desk or medical front office experience but will train those with strong customer service backgrounds. Applicants should be comfortable discussing appointments, insurance, and balances, have strong computer skills and the ability to learn dental software (examples given include Dentrix), and possess excellent communication skills. The job is full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site, with hourly pay listed at $17.00–$20.00, paid time off, holidays, employee dental benefits, 401(k), health insurance, and an employee discount.
