Role Overview

Seeking a dental receptionist with experience in dental reception and office operations to help maintain day-to-day office functioning and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying and updating insurance information, answering phones, maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient records, coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations, monitoring the office schedule, supporting marketing efforts, explaining procedures/costs/payment options, and handling patient payments and transactions. Preferred qualifications include prior dental or healthcare front desk experience, proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Denticon, and knowledge of dental insurance billing and coding. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional dental administration certifications or training are a plus.
