Seeking a Dental Assistant II to support patient care under general supervision of a dentist, performing clinical and patient-facing duties within a team. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, reviewing and preparing treatment plans and consents, taking and developing radiographs, performing routine dental cleanings, monitoring nitrous oxide, educating parents and patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining charts, supplies, and treatment areas.
Role also involves sterilization and instrument processing, stocking and preparing operatories, performing unit care tasks (flushing lines, filling water bottles, placing tablets, changing traps), and completing OSHA-related daily, weekly, and monthly duties. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a dental assistant program per state guidelines, dental x-ray and coronal polishing certifications; additional certifications such as nitrous are desired but not required. Strong communication, customer service, dental software knowledge, and understanding of health and safety regulations are required.
