Seeking a Dental Receptionist (Patient Care Coordinator) to manage patient appointment booking and rescheduling, welcome and dismiss patients, assist with scheduling procedures and follow-up visits, provide instructions, collect payments and issue receipts, and coordinate patient flow. Responsibilities also include answering phones, printing and mailing statements, maintaining patient records, routing x-rays to the doctor, managing recare and reactivation, documenting all patient communications in the chart and practice management system, and handling miscellaneous correspondence and public relations tasks.
Duties list also covers preparing charts and daily routines, verifying insurance for new patients for the next day and two days ahead, filling and maintaining hygiene schedules, making reactivation calls and sending letters, and routine office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and faxing. Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, knowledge of dental terminology, expertise with Dentrix practice management software, understanding of general administrative procedures, telephone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and customer service abilities. Office hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Benefits include paid holidays, paid time off, dental care, and a monthly bonus.
