Part-Time Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) - Private Practice

Seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions with a current California RDAEF license in good standing to join a private general dental practice. The role requires strong general dentistry and restorative experience, proficiency with digital impressions/scanning and radiographs, excellent four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting skills (including for a left-handed dentist), and the ability to perform expanded restorative and prosthodontic functions permitted by California RDAEF licensure. Duties include traditional RDA tasks and expanded functions, preparing operatories, anticipating materials and instruments, providing efficient four-handed dentistry, taking digital radiographs and intraoral photos, digital scanning and impressions, assisting with restorative, crown and bridge, implant, endodontic, surgical, and general dentistry procedures, fabricating and adjusting provisional restorations as permitted, maintaining infection-control and sterilization standards, managing clinical inventory, reviewing schedules in advance, communicating with the front office about treatment and patient flow, and helping troubleshoot and support clinical workflow to keep multiple operatories running efficiently.
