Role Overview
This role supports a portable dental sealant program that delivers preventive dental services in elementary schools. Responsibilities include assisting the dental hygienist with clinical and administrative tasks, completing and organizing consent and treatment paperwork, communicating with school nurses, entering data and notes into Dentrix Ascend, maintaining HIPAA confidentiality, cleaning the clinic area per OSHA guidelines, and assembling information packets and goodie bags. The position involves escorting and calming students, providing age-appropriate oral health education, organizing and attending school pre-event meet-and-greets, and occasionally working evenings or weekends for school events.
The role requires driving between school sites across the Denver metro area, transporting and setting up mobile dental equipment, and keeping clinic areas clean and welcoming. Scheduling follows the public school calendar, with work in schools for about 40 weeks (mid-August through mid-May) and time at the administration office for about 12 weeks (mid-May through mid-August), with options to have the summer off. Pay is $22/hour with mileage reimbursement; paid time off, paid KIND holidays and mental health days, and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, HSA) are available for those working over 30 hours weekly. Simple or ROTH IRA retirement plan with employer contribution is offered.
