Role Overview

Private pediatric dental practice treating patients ages 0–18 seeks a dental assistant to provide chairside support to pediatric dentists and other assistants. Responsibilities listed include preparing patients for procedures and exams, setting up and breaking down instrument trays, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, taking recommended digital radiographs, entering accurate patient charting and notes on a computer, and communicating with the dentist, team members, patients, and parents. If EDDA certified (or once certified), duties also include performing prophy cleanings, applying fluoride varnish and sealants, and assisting with orthodontic procedures after training. Additional training will be provided as needed, and the practice is willing to help finance EDDA certification for candidates who are not already certified. The office operates Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–noon with morning huddles starting at 7:30 AM.
