Hygiene Assistant (Dental Assistant I)

Seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support the hygienist and dental team in a privately owned practice. Duties include seating and preparing patients, taking dental X-rays, assisting with examinations, periodontal charting, coronal polishing as permitted by NC regulations and training, sterilizing and stocking hygiene rooms, documenting clinical findings and treatment recommendations, updating patient records and treatment plans, and maintaining efficient patient flow while following OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and practice infection-control standards. Required qualifications include North Carolina Coronal Polishing certification/qualification and current dental radiography certification. Schedule is Fridays 8am–4pm and Saturdays 8am–2pm, with potential for additional days as the practice grows. The practice seeks candidates who are organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with patient interaction, and willing to learn new responsibilities and technology.
