Dental Assistant at Pediatric Dental Specialist

Full-time dental assistant position supporting dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting chairside during exams and procedures, and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Responsibilities include sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up operatories, taking and processing dental X-rays as prescribed, collecting and recording patient histories and vitals, educating patients on oral hygiene as directed, providing post-operative instructions, and assisting with impressions and temporary restorations when permitted by state regulations. Role also involves monitoring and maintaining dental equipment, ordering supplies, assisting with inventory, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and OSHA, and responding to medical and dental emergencies as necessary. A minimum of one year of dental assisting experience is preferred, and an active RDA certification or license is required or varies by state. Strong dental terminology knowledge, communication skills, organization, and a patient-centered approach are expected.
