Dental Hygiene Assistant

Provide chairside support to dental professionals by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing and organizing instruments, and assisting during procedures using four-handed dentistry. Perform dental imaging including x-rays and 3D scans, monitor patient vital signs, update medical records, and help manage patient flow and scheduling through patient management software. Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques, follow HIPAA privacy requirements when handling medical documentation, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Use clinical equipment such as intraoral cameras and scanners and work with EMR systems like Dentrix to support a multidisciplinary dental team.
