Registered Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant will deliver direct patient care across multiple dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. The role involves working in the Back Office and in lobbies, engaging with patients and supporting their physical and emotional needs throughout visits. Responsibilities include preparing tray set-ups, taking diagnostic-quality X-rays, maintaining and updating digital patient records (health histories, treatment plans, insurance, lab requests), educating patients and parents about oral health, and performing end-of-week inventory reporting to the Lead DA. The position requires adherence to OSHA and infection control protocols, proper disposal of sharps and clinical waste, and cleaning and stocking exam rooms and operatories before and after patient interactions. Candidates must hold an active Registered Dental Assistant license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, have active CPR and AED training, and maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control training. The schedule is flexible and may include extended hours, evenings, and weekends. Physical requirements include prolonged sitting and standing and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
