Seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chairside support during procedures such as fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals, including passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs. The role includes preparing treatment rooms, ensuring patient comfort, greeting and preparing patients, reviewing medical histories, updating records, and giving post-procedure instructions and oral hygiene education.
Responsibilities also cover sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines, organizing and maintaining dental supplies and operatory cleanliness, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed such as scheduling appointments, confirming visits, billing/insurance processing, charting, and maintaining accurate treatment documentation. Preferred qualifications include CDA or RDA certification, X-ray certification where required by state regulations, knowledge of patient management software, strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach. The position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
