Role Overview
Seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to provide preventive and periodontal care as part of a dentist-directed oral hygiene team. Responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, debridement, periodontal maintenance, taking digital X-rays and intra-oral photos, monitoring nitrous oxide and providing topical anesthetic under general supervision, patient education, charting in Open Dental, and maintaining OSHA/CDC sterilization and infection control standards.
Required qualifications are an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, an active Texas RDH license, current CPR certification, and the ability to operate standard dental equipment such as Cavitron, Prophy-Jet, X-ray, sterilizers, and hand instruments. Strong communication, attention to charting accuracy, teamwork, adaptability, and a gentle chairside manner are specified; laser certification and Open Dental experience are listed as preferred.
