The role requires bilingual Spanish fluency and previous dental experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, may need to use a personal vehicle during the workday, and therefore must have an active, valid driver’s license. Experience with dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) is helpful. Physical demands include prolonged sitting and standing as needed and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Primary responsibilities include answering incoming calls, making outgoing confirmation calls, verifying insurance eligibility and collecting payments at time of service, creating insurance claims and obtaining pre-authorizations, scheduling appointments, gathering patient health history, and supporting community outreach and education. Daily housekeeping tasks will be shared with other staff, and the employee must bring an engaging personality to interact with patients.
