Three-day-per-week hygienist position with a flexible schedule. The role focuses on preventive and clinical care including prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planing, oral cancer screenings, periodontal charting, taking and processing X-rays and digital scans, and applying sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents.
Responsibilities also include patient education on oral hygiene and nutrition, reviewing and updating medical histories, collaborating with the dentist on treatment planning, and documenting findings in practice management software (examples given: Dentrix, Eaglesoft). The position requires adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines, cleaning and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms, and the physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Required credentials include state dental hygienist licensure, current CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency with patient management software, along with strong communication and team-oriented work habits.
