Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Part-time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) needed for a school-based mobile dental program serving children. The role requires an active EFDA license, CPR certification, at least one year of EFDA experience, one year of digital x-ray imaging experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally. Candidates must be able to lift up to 55 lbs, occasionally walk several flights of stairs, work in fast-paced environments, and work well with children and adults. Duties include providing expanded function dental assisting during mobile clinics, performing digital x-rays, charting patient records, setting up, breaking down, and sterilizing equipment, and traveling daily to and from school sites. The program follows a school-day schedule (about 6–7 hours, typically around 8:00 AM–3:00 PM), offers evenings, weekends and summers off, and uses portable state-of-the-art equipment with digital radiography.
