This role involves welcoming patients, maintaining their comfort, reviewing health histories, taking and processing x-rays and other diagnostic records (including iTero 3D scanner and digital photography), and providing chairside assistance to dentists consistent with the state dental practice act. The assistant will use Dentrix for scheduling and recordkeeping, prepare treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC protocols, manage supplies and orders, and help implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office workflow.
The practice is an eight-person team with modern equipment and systems, operating Monday 7:45am–6:00pm and Tuesday–Thursday 7:45am–4:00pm. Minimum qualifications include knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, strong communication and organizational skills, and HIPAA training and safeguards for PHI; certification or x-ray certification is required if mandated by the state dental practice act.
