This role combines dental assisting and orthodontic records responsibilities across an approximately four-day workweek, with two days dedicated to assisting in dental procedures and two days focused on orthodontic records. The dental assisting portion involves supporting the dentist during exams and treatments, preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments, seating and assisting patients, following infection control and sterilization procedures, and performing other clinical duties as needed. The orthodontic records portion involves taking and maintaining patient records, assisting with photographs, scans and X-rays as trained, preparing records for consultations and treatment planning, and maintaining organization and confidentiality of patient information. Dental assisting certification is required, though no prior dental or orthodontic experience is necessary and hands-on training is provided for the right candidate. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent communication and teamwork, a friendly and professional demeanor, dependability and punctuality, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
