Ortho Dental Assistant

Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during exams and treatment procedures, including placing and removing appliances, archwires, ligatures, and other materials as directed. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, take and process digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and scans as permitted by state regulations, and update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes. Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations, monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies, and ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, dental assistant certification/licensure and radiology certification if required by state regulations; orthodontic assisting experience, familiarity with orthodontic procedures and terminology, and experience with digital scanners and orthodontic software are listed as preferred.
