Part Time Dental Assistant

Part-time (three days) dental assistant position in a prosthodontic office supporting complex restorative and surgical cases. Responsibilities include preparing and breaking down operatories, assisting the prosthodontist during exams and procedures, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, managing records, using OpenDental for scheduling and record keeping, educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, handling appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups, and placing monthly supply orders. Preferred qualifications include prior dental assisting experience, knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy, familiarity with dental codes and OpenDental noted as advantages, strong computer and verbal skills (Spanish preferred but not required), and certification in CPR and other relevant certifications may be required.
