Part Time Dental Assistant

This role involves preparing patients for dental care, assisting with procedures and infection control, sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, and recording treatment information in patient records. Additional tasks include exposing dental x-rays and caring for x-ray equipment, collecting medical/dental histories and vitals, providing postoperative instructions and oral hygiene information, assisting in medical/dental emergencies, aiding dental hygienists, forming preliminary impressions and occlusal registrations, fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment inventory. Candidates should be familiar with dental equipment and instruments, have experience with electronic medical records and digital technology, and be willing to build trusting relationships with team members and patients. Knowledge of CEREC and intraoral scanning, experience with sedation and dental implant placement/restoration, and willingness to participate in training that may include travel are listed as positives.
