Role Overview
Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care within the licensed scope, including periodontal charting, radiographs, intraoral scans, and completion of clinical notes and treatment records. Co-diagnose with the dentist during hygiene exams, educate patients on treatment and home care, follow infection control and sterilization protocols, and administer local anesthesia if certified.
Full- or part-time position (2–5 days available) with clinic hours 9am–6pm weekdays and 9am–3pm Saturdays. Appointment lengths are 60 minutes for new patient/recall and 60 minutes per two quadrants for SRP; typical patient load is 7–8 patients per day. Practice uses Dentrix Ascend, AI-assisted X-rays, iTero Lumina scanners, digital radiography, intraoral cameras in every room, and soft tissue lasers (certification training available). Active Illinois RDH license in good standing required; new graduates welcome and will be paired with an experienced hygienist at the start.
