This full-time, on-site Dental Assistant position supports dentists during exams and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, setting up instruments, and providing chairside assistance. Responsibilities include maintaining sterilization and infection control, organizing instruments and equipment, welcoming patients, explaining basic treatment steps, supporting oral care education, and updating charts or records as directed by the dentist.
Candidates should have a foundation in dental assisting and oral care practices, knowledge of sterilization and infection control, and the ability to manage clinical workflows and supplies. The role requires effective communication, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow clinical protocols. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant on-the-job experience is preferred, and current dental assistant or radiography certification (if required by Illinois) is an advantage.
