Seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support dentists by preparing intake paperwork, updating records, sterilizing and organizing instruments, assisting during procedures, and performing expanded functions as assigned. Responsibilities include maintaining treatment room cleanliness and sterilization per OSHA, handling patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal rules, sending and monitoring dental laboratory cases, tracking referrals, stocking treatment rooms, and assisting with office tasks such as answering phones and completing insurance forms.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited dental assisting program, have state certification and meet applicable state requirements (including x-ray and OSHA training), and possess at least two years of clinical experience post-graduation. Strong computer skills are required; experience with Eaglesoft and/or Dentrix is noted as a plus.
