Dental Assistant I - South Park Pediatric Dentistry

Part-time Dental Assistant I – Sterilization role supporting a multi-location pediatric dental practice. The position focuses on cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, and sterilizing dental instruments; operating and documenting sterilization equipment processes; preparing and organizing instruments and supplies; maintaining sterilization areas; monitoring inventory; and ensuring sterilized instruments are properly stored and available. The role also includes assisting with room turnover and operatory preparation, maintaining accurate sterilization and infection control records, reporting equipment or sterilization concerns, and following OSHA, CDC, and practice infection control guidelines. Candidates must have completed an accredited Dental Assisting program or school and hold X-Ray/Radiology, Sterilization, Infection Control, and BLS certifications. Previous dental assisting or sterilization experience and knowledge of dental instruments and infection control procedures are preferred. The schedule is part time, Monday–Friday, with hours based on business needs, and the role may require flexibility to assist across practice locations.
