Dental Hygienist

The dental hygienist provides preventive care such as cleanings, X-rays, fluoride applications, and periodontal therapy, and contributes to developing and implementing individual treatment plans with the dentist. Responsibilities include educating patients on oral hygiene, maintaining clinical records, following infection control protocols, supporting inventory checks for hygiene supplies, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program, and an active state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist; 1–3 years of clinical experience is preferred. The role involves working in a dental operatory, may require standing for extended periods and exposure to dental equipment and materials, and often requires multitasking in a fast-paced, collaborative, patient-focused environment.
