Dental Hygienist -Staples Mill

Weekly incentive and signing bonus are offered. The practice is seeking a full-time (4 or 5 days) or part-time (1–3 days) dental hygienist for the Staples Mill team, with typical hours of 8 am–5 pm. Applications are accepted from Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) licensed in Virginia and recent hygiene school graduates awaiting licensure. Other Richmond-area locations have full-time, part-time, and temporary openings. Required clinical qualifications include BLS certification (AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers), strong hand instrumentation and ultrasonic skills, experience with digital radiographs and electronic patient records preferred, ability to perform scaling and root planing, and certification to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia (the practice will compensate for certification and continued learning if needed). Duties include preparing operatories, reviewing medical histories, oral cancer screening, taking x-rays, prophylaxis, debridement, periodontal charting and therapy, patient education, documenting care in electronic records, and complying with OSHA, HIPAA, State Board, and sterilization requirements.
