Provide chairside support to Fellows, volunteer dentists, and hygienists in fixed-site and mobile dental clinics, assisting with patient care, digital x-rays, and charting perio and restorative information. Maintain a sterile clinical environment following OSHA and infection control standards, prepare treatment rooms, review medical histories for the dentist, and assist with equipment maintenance and clinic operations.
Manage clinic inventories and participate in ordering, support patient education and post-treatment instructions, assist with administrative duties including patient triage and outpatient procedures, and collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to optimize volunteer use. Represent the clinic at seminars, committee meetings, and community outreach as needed and perform additional duties to support clinic efficiency.
Dental Assistant degree/certificate required. Preferred: minimum two years chair-side experience and experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook), excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work as part of a team, and a positive, collaborative attitude. Full-time position with a consistent weekday schedule (36–40 hours/week); no weekends, nights, or on-call.
