Pediatric Dental office looking for front desk/insurance specialist and Dental Assistant dual role position. Spanish speaking preferred. Full-time position available for candidates with previous dual role experience in dental office front desk management, coding, terminology and experience in dental assisting or has dental x-ray license. Part-time position available for those willing to learn Dental coding, billing, collections in addition to other front desk receptionist duties or dental assisting duties.
General Job Duties
greet patients
register new patients ,verify and update patient information
assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation & upload into system
inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
move patients through appointments as scheduled
answer and manage incoming calls
respond and comply to requests for information
schedule patient appointments
confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
check daily appointment schedule
arrange patient charts for next day appointments
fill in cancellations and no-shows
organize referrals to other medical specialists
collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
inform patients of financial treatment plan options
arrange payment schedule with patients
prepare and mail billing statements
prepare and send claim forms for dental insurance
arrange supporting documents for insurance claims
Reconcile insurance claims on regular basis, follow-up and resolve outstanding claims
update patient education materials
maintain a professional reception area
maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
Perform dental assistant duties as required.
Education and Experience
general education degree or high school diploma
knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
working knowledge of dental insurance
Experience working as a dental assistant
